What determines that our brain cells are being accessed and used
Neurons have specialized projections called dendrites and axons. Dendrites bring information to the cell body and axons take information away from the cell body. Information from one neuron flows to another neuron across a synapse. The synapse contains a small gap separating neurons.
Each neuron is like an island with no access
Although the human mind has been marred by sin (it is in our DNA), upon acceptance of Him as Lord and Savior the mind cultivated for Christ can be transformed into the mind of Christ.
A brain before it develops is like a beautiful piece of property that is isolated and has no access roads. How the brain is accessed can ruin it or can cause it to become all God intended it to be – and then the individual will be useful to the Master.
Neuropathways connect one neuron to another in the brain
A neural pathway is the connection formed by axons that project from neurons to make synapses onto neurons in another location, to enable a signal to be sent from one region of the nervous system to another. Neurons are connected by a single axon, or by a bundle of axons known as a nerve tract.
Neuropathways Are Like Hiking Trails…
Pathways can be created and strengthened with human intervention.
The path needs to be created by clearing out the old, building a new path, and then continually cultivating and walking the pathway in order for the trail to become clear and recognizable, able to be used.
So what can be done to utilize those brain cells to their full potential?
Developing appropriate pathways and changes in pathways require intensive work including:
o Repetition o Practice o A Human Mediator
Human mediation takes learners beyond natural limitations enabling them to reach their full cognitive potential.
